Calvin Carter 2발음듣기

I'm Calvin Carter.발음듣기

The name of my company is Bottle Rocket Apps.발음듣기

Like a lot of companies, we have values and then when we have tough decisions to make, we look at our values.발음듣기

I wanted to print these values out and put them on the wall a few years back, and I'm so happy that our Director of Strategy and years' experience, Michael, said "Don't put your values on the wall.발음듣기

It's not the wall's job, it's our job. 발음듣기

Unless we live those values and make decisions every single day and use those values in our language, we will never get people to understand what we're trying to achieve."발음듣기

Our job is never done. It's always focusing back on 'that's great,'발음듣기

but what can we do to make it better?발음듣기

I think it keeps us humble, and it keeps us continually aligned to our vision and our purpose and the importance of our craft and taking it personally.발음듣기

I want to be the symbol and the "walk the talk," if you would, of what quality means and what that means down to a pixel level in our work, and I think that's important as you're growing an organization.발음듣기

I always want to be that farmer with dirt under his fingernails.발음듣기

I always want to have that connection to our craft because that's how we built this, and that's really important to me.발음듣기

I've had to become honest with myself about "What am I holding onto and holding back, "and what am I not focusing on?"발음듣기

As an entrepreneur, you need to invite the tapping of the shoulder. You need to invite that.발음듣기

You need to say like, "Guys, when I need to be pushed, "you need to push me, and when I need "to be pushed aside, push me aside."발음듣기

That's the relationship that you have to foster with the people that you work with.발음듣기
